Byte Biosphere privacy notice

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Byte Biosphere is the premium adult cohort in the X7 learning estate. This notice explains what happens when you apply for a cohort place, private advisory route or advanced build review.

What we collect

The public application form asks for your name, email address, current role, organisation if relevant, your current technical stage, the build you want to create, the delivery format you want, timeline and the challenge you want solved. The system may also record a timestamp, browser user-agent and a limited rate-limit fingerprint to protect the form from abuse.

What not to send

Do not send passwords, API keys, private client records, pupil data, safeguarding information, medical details, database dumps, production credentials or other sensitive personal or operational data through the public form, G-Root or ordinary email. Public application material should stay high level until a private route is agreed properly.

How we use applications

Where information is handled

Applications are stored in Cloudflare infrastructure for the public website and may be sent to the X7 team by email. Any later use of private repositories, source packs, infrastructure notes or client material belongs in a separate agreed route, not the public application form.

Contact and updates

If you apply, we may reply about that application and the relevant next step. We do not treat a public application as permission to send unrelated marketing. You can ask us to stop contacting you about the application.

Retention

Application records are kept only while they are useful for fit review, scoping, reply management and cohort planning. Records that are no longer useful should be archived or deleted during routine operations review.

Your choices

You can ask what information is held about you, ask for a correction, ask for deletion, or object to further contact about the application. Email apply@bytebiosphere.co.uk.
